Mark Beesley says Warrington Town have to respond following their recent run.

Injuries have decimated the Yellows’ selection options as their opening month in the National League North has been hampered through varying issues.

Following an impressive run in the Northern Premier League last season that concluded with their playoff win, the taste of defeat has been a rare one for the Cantilever Park side.

They face a trip to Brackley Town this weekend looking to return to winning ways, after back-to-back defeats.

Beesley told Off The Park: “We’ve learned a lot from the weekend, there’s some really good in our league and if were not on our A-Game, we’ll be punished.

“Injuries caught up with us over the weekend, it took its toll and we had lads who probably shouldn’t have been playing, but that’s football, quite a few of our first-team are out.

“We’ve got to learn to cope without them because they’re not coming back anytime soon, we’ve got to be better as a group, as individuals and we’ve got to make sure that getting beat at home like that doesn’t happen again.

“It’s going to be like that his year, with the size of the club we are, we’re going to get difficult moments but we’ve got to stick together and push through it.

“The quality of the team is clear for all to see, it goes from big game to big game, big club to big club. It’s part of why we’re here, we look forward to the challenge of playing these games.

“Each game we’ve got to respond, we’ve got to respond from the weekend’s results, we’ve got to do better. The next game is so important so we’ve got to be ready for it.

“We’re not used to it, we’ve lost four games in 2023, the club isn’t used to losing games and we don’t want to be. We knew at some point this season we might and we have to rectify it as quick as we can.”
