Prescot Cables eye winning return vs Hanley Town as Steven Daley highlights ‘opportunity’

Prescot Cables manager Ste Daley

Steven Daley says Prescot Cables are relishing their trip to Hanley Town.

The Bulls suffered a disappointing end to the month of September, with cup exits to Whitby Town and North Ferriby following their defeat to Clitheroe which ended their winning run.

Despite the blemishes on their record, signs are positive at the Joseph Russell Stadium after coming from behind twice against North Ferriby before losing on penalties as well as good spells in their previous two.

The return to league action sees them travel to Hanley Town who have shot up the table after three straight wins.

Daley sees the trip Stoke-on-Trent as an opportunity to build another league run after their six-match unbeaten run in all competitions, a matter of weeks ago.

“I think Hanley are on a good run of form but it’s an opportunity,” the Prescot Cables boss told Off The Park.

“We’re relishing the challenge of going up to their place, we know if we impose ourselves, do our right thing and stick to our gameplan then it’s a place we can go collect three points – which we want to do.

“It’s difficult at this level to go on a run, especially in this league, if anyone puts a run together you’re right up towards the top end.

“Or if you lose a couple, you’re down towards the other end, it’s difficult but we’re capable of putting a run together and we’re looking to do that in the coming weeks.”
