City of Liverpool manager Paul McNally says they must carry on despite going 10 matches unbeaten.

The Purps sit in the final playoff position in the Northern Premier League but face increasing pressure from Witton Albion and Clitheroe who are chasing down the top five.

McNally’s side haven’t tasted defeat in their last 10 across all competitions. While the City of Liverpool boss believes the draws could’ve been wins, he is looking for the momentum to continue as they face two important matches this weekend against Mossley and Bootle.

He told Off The Park: “The lads have done fantastic, the injuries have caught up with us so the draws could’ve potentially been wins, that’s the only downfall but the lads have been brilliant.

“To go 10 games unbeaten it’s great, we’re six games from the end now, it’s a case of carrying on with our jobs and carrying on. There’s 18 points on offer, let’s see what we can get from them.

“It’s the same as every game, we have to try and win and take each game as it comes. The biggest game is Saturday then after that, the biggest game will be Monday, we’ll take them as they come and try get maximum points. There’s six points available from the two games, that’s all it is, at this stage of the season every point is vital.”
