Everton and Tranmere Rovers learn fate as Liverpool Senior Cup Quarter-Final draw made

Everton will face Marine in the Liverpool Senior Cup quarter-final as Tranmere Rovers visit Bootle for a place in the semi-final.

The Premier League and League Two outfits enter the competition in the last eight after receiving byes in the opening two rounds.

Bootle provided one of the shocks of the second round completing a late two-goal comeback before beating Warrington Rylands on penalties. There will be a Tranmere Rovers reunion for former defender Steve McNulty as they travel to Vesty Road.

Current holders, Southport, host AFC Liverpool from the North West Counties Premier Division. The Yellows romped into the next round with a resounding win over Runcorn Town as Connor Heath scored a hat-trick in their 6-0 win.

Matt Potter’s side came from 3-0 down at half-time against Lower Breck to progress into the next round with Billy McCarthy completing the comeback with just a minute of normal time remaining.

Litherland REMYCA, who sit just outside the relegation zone in the NWCFL Premier Division, will travel to promotion-chasing Runcorn Linnets.

Linnets are in their first Liverpool Senior Cup since their reformation, already they have had to knock out fellow Northern Premier League West opposition in Prescot Cables and City of Liverpool in the opening two rounds.

Meanwhile, the REMY avoided a scare against South Liverpool thanks to Tom Lawless’ late goal.

Ties for the round will be played week commencing February 13 or February 20.
