FAN VIEW: Lower Breck

Leighton McGivern in action for Lower Breck.

We’ve reached the half way stage of the season and with the busy festive period coming, Off The Park spoke to Lower Breck fan, Ian.

Thoughts on the season so far?

I think we’ve done pretty well so far with the injuries we’ve had aswell as some covid cases, to be sitting eight in the league is positive going into Christmas.

Worst moment of the season & why?

The cup game against Moseley for me, we as a club don’t mind being beaten gracefully, but the scenes at the end got way out of hand, result stood, That’s football!

Best moment of the season?

Home game against Macclesfield, Although we lost, what an amazing night under the lights with such a massive crowd, love nights like that.

Signing of the season

It has to be the re-signing of Ste Milne from Warrington Rylands on loan for the month then to secure him permanently is amazing, what a player.

Current player of the season & why?

Ricky Ager is colossal at that back, fearless, solid, plays injured, just his voice from the back line is so clinical for the rest of the squad, organisation and leadership is immense.

Realistic ambitions for the rest of the season

The ambitionon keep doing what we do as a squad, team, non-league family, we can hold our own in any league on our day, we keep going to finish as high as we can in the league for our first time in the NWCFL Prem. Nulli Secundus.
