FA Trophy First and Second Round Qualifying draw in full

FA Trophy

Liverpool have been represented in the first two rounds of the FA Trophy as Runcorn Linnets, Vauxhall Motors, Prescot Cables, Bootle, City of Liverpool and Widnes learned their fate.

Runcorn Linnets enjoyed a great run in the competition last season reaching the Second Round following the scalps of Workington, North Shields, Ossett United and Belper Town. Their run came to an end against National League North opposition in Spennymoor Town. They host Witton Albion in an all-Cheshire affair.

Vauxhall Motors return to the FA Trophy for the first time in a decade, when they entered in the Third Round Qualifying, and they will face Northern Premier League West opposition in Mossley.

Prescot Cables‘ hopes were dashed last season as they were beaten by Worksop Town, who went on to win their respective division earning promotion to the Northern Premier League Premier Division. They host Bridlington Town.

Bootle and City of Liverpool will be hoping to eclipse last season’s run. The Bucks were dumped out by Dunston UTS as Paul McNally’s side were edged out by Sheffield FC on penalties in the First Qualifying Round.

Widnes overcame Skelmersdale United on penalties in the First Qualifying Round last season but faced the stern task over overcoming Macclesfield in the next round. However, the Silkmen ran out comfortable winners.
