The first rounds of the FA Cup have been drawn as 10 Merseyside clubs have learned their fate.
Vauxhall Motors are preparing for their first season back in the Northern Premier League following their promotion from the North West Counties. They have been drawn against West Didsbury & Chorlton in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup.
The winners of that tie will face either Prescot Cables or Eccleshill United in the Preliminary Round.
Under the guise of David McNabb, Bootle are looking to improve on last season’s record in the FA Cup. They were dumped out by lower opposition in Congleton Town last time out in the replay at Vesty Road and this time around, they are away to Prestwich Heys.
The victor will face either City of Liverpool or Penistone Church offering the prospect of a mouth-watering encounter between the Bucks and the Purps.
Widnes FC have been drawn at home to Longridge Town in the Extra Preliminary Round. The winner will face either Golcar United or fellow Northern Premier League West side Trafford.
