‘We don’t fear anybody’ – City of Liverpool manager Paul McNally sends firm warning ahead of Leek Town visit

City of Liverpool manager Paul McNally insists his side fear ‘no one’ as they host promotion contenders Leek Town on Saturday.

The Purps made it back-to-back wins on Tuesday when they cruised past Widnes 4-0 but objectives are still to be achieved as they pushed out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.

“We don’t fear anybody, the division is quite tight, anyone can beat anyone in this division from bottom to top – regardless of who it is,” he told Off The Park.

“We’re going to show them the respect they deserve, we’re going to do our homework and we’re just going to take it and see where it takes us.

“I am hoping to make it a fortress, I’d like that, don’t get me wrong it’s a nice pitch teams will want to play here and will give them confidence, it’s not a horrible place to come.

“But we’ve got to make it a fortress and build on that because when we go away from home, we’ve got to start building our away performances as well.”
