‘There’s no easy games’ – AFC Liverpool manager Matt Potter issues warning as Northwich Victoria look to end 100 percent record

AFC Liverpool manager Matt Potter

AFC Liverpool manager Matt Potter is looking for his side to continue their momentum as they host Northwich Victoria on Saturday.

The Non League Reds moved top of the North West Counties Premier Division following their commanding 6-1 win over Burscough in midweek.

Kyle Schorah scored a hat-trick, whilst James Howell chipped in with a double after Elliot Hughes opened the scoring. It proved to be the perfect response for AFC Liverpool to their defeat to Trafford in the FA Cup.

Potter is under no illusions ahead of Vics’ visit and is looking to make it four wins from four in the league.

He told Off The Park: “We look at the games we’ve played them before, they’re always a strong outfit, they’re always organised, they don’t seem to have a turnover of the players when you look at the team sheets over the last few years.

“It’s bound to be tough, in this league there’s no easy games, if you don’t work you’ll get caught out so we’ve got to take the same mentality that we shown today into Saturday’s game and keep this momentum going and keep it building and that’s what we want that consistency throughout.”
